Baikal Mining Company is preparing for construction of a Concentration Plant and Hydrometallurgical Plant of the future Udokan Complex. Currently, pits are being excavated at the Site for the foundations of the process buildings as scheduled.
At the same time, extraction of sand and gravel mix commenced at Kemenskoe deposit on June 11, 2019 to provide inert materials required for construction.Ministry of Natural Resources for Zabaykalsky Krai granted the Mineral License to BMC LLC in 2018. The relevant land lease agreement was signed in January 2019.
Rostekhnadzor approved the Mine Plan in April 2019.
Overburden was removed at Kemenskoe deposit on June 6, 2019, and extraction of sand and gravel mix commenced on June 11, including screening and making the finished product, i.e. sand and gravel.
