Agreement of Intent signed to implement second stage of Udokan project – the development of Russia’s largest copper deposit in Trans-Baikal Region
Udokan Copper (an affiliate of the USM diversified holding, founder and major shareholder - Alisher Usmanov), the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Government of the Trans-Baikal Region and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation signed an agreement of intent to implement the second phase of the Udokan copper deposit development project.
Udokan Copper Completes Installation of Coarse Ore Crusher
Udokan Copper – the company that develops one of the largest copper deposits in the world, located in the Far East of Russia, and is currently building a mining and metallurgical plant (MMP) - has completed the installation of а gyratory crusher at its coarse crushing plant. The ThyssenKrupp crusher will process rougher ore fractions supplied from Zapadniy open pit.
Udokan Copper implements digital services platform for staff adaptation and training
Udokan Copper (a part of the USM diversified group of companies) has implemented advanced digital solutions for personnel adaptation, training, and internal communications, Vladislav Gromchenko, HR Director of Udokan Copper, reported at the HR forum held by the Vedomosti daily on June 17, 2021, in Moscow.
Advanced production equipment installed at Udokan Copper pilot plant
The modernization of the pilot plant, which was put into operation back in 2006, will advance the Udokan mining and metallurgical plant to the main operational stage. The plant facilitates pilot testing of the ore processing flow design of the Udokan deposit set by the project documentation.
Udokan Copper’s shareholders will invest more than EUR 4,5 mln into social and economic development of Trans-Baikal Territory in 2021
Udokan Copper has signed a EUR 4,5 mln agreement on social and economic cooperation with the Government of Trans-Baikal Territory of Russia and the Administration of Kalar Municipal District, where the Udocan copper deposit is located.
Udokan Copper Launches Development of Climate Program
Udokan Copper has launched the development of its own climate program, covering direct and indirect emissions of all classifications (Scopes 1, 2 and 3), carbon intensity of production and product carbon footprint.
